If you dont want to be dad in the begining you can always prance back into your kiddies lives like its not big deal?! What the hell!!! Its a big deal to me....big enough to terminate his rights so that if he ever decided that he wanted to be a dad HE would have to fight to get his rights back. Being a parent isnt optional for all of us.....the courts shouldnt make it so easy for dads to be dead beats....friggin get rid of em!

Im sure that you would be happy to be rid of him but I doubt theres a judge out there that will terminate his rights just so he doesnt have to pay child support. There was a time that the judge wasnt going to give me the termination because "how do I know he doesnt just want to get out of child support" and I pleaded with the judge that there was more to it then just that...plus I havent had any assistance of any sorts since then....living without a net:)
When did child support become optional?!

It was a long battle to terminate parental rights....it was his request to terminate them due to his gang involvement and other trouble he was in. He had not seen my daughter in about 2 years. No child support was ever made. By the time I went to court he was behind over $10000 with no job or hope of ever getting any. And he was a meth addict....I was scared of him. It was worth every penny and every ounce of effort.

- I just looked it up on map quest, from where I live to Seattle it is 2608 miles and would take me about 38 1/2 hours to drive there, so I guess no playdates for our kids :)
