About Me:

I'm a working, single mom of two little girls, ages 7 and 4. I actually get along with my ex, sometimes to the dismay of my friends. I read ALL THE TIME and I especially enjoy books on spirituality. I am a big believer in God and positive thoughts and karma and all that stuff. I enjoy life and try to make the best out of any situation. I hope to inspire my girls to be their best by being the best ME I can be!

Meeting you where you are

One of the things I love about yoga is a phrase that my best friend/yoga teacher uses quite a bit: Yoga meets you where you are.

What this means is that you needn't force yourself into bending like a pretzel. Honor your body where it is now and over time, you will begin to see results.

Plenty

My mom was always amazed at the stuff I would come up with while I was sleeping. I wrote many a poem or song lyric after hearing the words in my sleep. I actually used to keep a notebook by my bedside to write all this stuff down. Now that I think about it, I actually problem solve while I'm sleeping too. I can remember many all-nighters of computer programming, getting frustrated and going to bed only to continue to troubleshoot and wake up with the answers. Is that weird?

Wow -- our DFW crowd is growing! You have an amazing spirit that shines bright. And I must say I love your post about meeting where you are. At 10:03am on February 13, 2009, Michael Navarro said…: I used to make the drive to Denver when we lived in Colorado Springs to Marilyn Hickey Ministries such an awesome church.....They have a slide from the childrens ministry down to the sanctuary and this is an enclosed side really cool nothing like an old traditional chuch or anything. The drive there was about 45 mins to can remember driving in pouring rain to get there. People used to think that i'm insane for driving that far twice a week...The annointing is so strong there though. Going to Eagle Mountain would be an experience You should Go!
