- I am professional single mom living in the Chicago North Side area. I work in the finance industry in the downtown area. My daughter is in the 4th grade and is an honor student a school for adavanced math and science. We have lived in Chicago for 7 years. I am originally from NYC, my daughter was born in Boston. This is a great city with lots of things to do. However, sometimes it can be daunting if you are not married or if your friends don't have a child to take care of. I have learned to adapt though.
