What are your hobbies and interests?

Where do I start? I guess my spiritual growth would be my number one interest. With that everything else just falls into place. Hobbies? Way too many to list. Most of my hobbies revolve around my daughter, riding quads and dirt bikes, hiking, camping, playing board games, bowling, going to the park, bbq's, in the process of building my daughter a go cart, playing pool and poker (and yes my daughter loves to do both), swimming, I could go on forever with this list. For myself I like to hanglide, read (positive type of literature), and occasionally enjoy the company of a woman (finding the time is often the issue here because I have my daughter 90% of the time). Life is awesome when I finally realized that happiness is a choice!!

What type of music do you like?

Classic rock mostly, but lately I find myself listening to alot of my daughters music, (lucky for me she loves classic rock also).

About Me:

So as not to paint to nice/perfect of a picture of myself (because EGO can still be a problem for me), a little about myself. My childhood was not a good one and as a result most of my life I was a selfish, self centered, egotistical, arrogant @ssh*l#, that let my survival instincts run to and beyond extreme with no thought as to how I hurt everyone in my path of distruction, and blocked it out with the use and abuse of drugs and alcohol. Ok so now that you know me let me tell you about the real me. 4 1/2 years ago I became a single parent of a precious 7 yr. old little girl (at the time) and was givin an opportunity to take a hard look at Steve and how I became who I was, and then blessed with the chance to find out what I really wanted in life (peace, happiness, dignity, freedom from bondage, self acceptance).

I am now a counselor working with at risk children in the school district where I live, a substance abuse counselor, and a life skills coach (seems like alot but I really only work between 25 to 40 hours a week and even my work revolves around my daughters schedule). Kids R Special, best name in the world for a business. My partner took me under his wing and we work mostly with children. This is my passion now and work seems more like play. I love being a parent and am very involved in my daughters activities, which shows in most areas of her life. She is an honor student and an excellent musician (plays 5 instuments now and second year in both advanced band and in a jazz band), you can't tell I am very proud of her can you. I also donate a substantial amount ot time to those that are less fortunate (part of my spiritual growth). I've worked very hard to get to where I'm at, parenting classes, school, internship, (all while holding down a full time job in construction and learning how to parent). Ok I think that is enough for now, see I told you EGO can still be a problem, thank God I know I will never be perfect or ever care to be. Important thing is I'm ok with myself today regardless of what the rest of the world is doing or thinking. Today I walk with dignity. Life can be so awesome when you realize you have a choice. Remember that tomorrow is not guaranteed to us, so enjoy today to its fullest, just for the moment that you are in.
