Thanks. The ex is just missing out. Sucks to be him you know.
I'm studying web development (programming) so my brain is always on overload trying to keep up with new technologies. I barely have time to play with any web design for fun.
I figured I'd scope things out here and link my local group. Now that it's summer I have so much planned for us, but I feel like you can never have enough support when you're a single parent online or off.
Hi Jenn, you are a busy woman. What are you studying in school? Isn't it great to be able to work from home? I work from home and have a 2 year old too, but he goes to daycare, there's no way I could work with him here. Do you do a meet up group? Feel free to add your events and have your own group on our site. I can create a google calendar for you.
Best of luck with the big D. Sounds like the ex is a real prize! ;o)
Welcome Jenn! So glad you are here-- lots to see and do and find support/friendship with. Please feel free if you want to use this site to helpyou organize your local single parent group. (I can show you how if you need help... we would love to be able to reach more single parents that way and offer you guys a central place to connect online).
In the mean time, jump in annd start meeting folks-- lots of people in your simlar boat here =)

What are your hobbies and interests?
I am a computer geek. I love computers and new electronic gadgets! I also enjoy doing fun things with my kid like the zoo, parks, local events, and meeting with friends. I love the museums and going downtown Chicago to hang out. Random interests are cooking, travel, reading, singing, crochet, cooking, and dancing.
What type of music do you like?
I typically listen to whatever is playing on the radio, but have some rap, R&B, and classic rock thrown in there. I'm considering trying the opera just to see if it's for me or not.
About Me:
I'm mid-30's, one son born in 2006, and the master of my domain. I work from home full time as a transcriptionist, go to school full time for graphic design, and I run a single parent group and a book swap group! I barely have time to breathe, but I'm considering adding dating to the mix! I love to laugh at my self (& sometimes others), and feel everything happys for a reason

wow! Well first of all! I feel your disappointment. My son's father was the same.. Good Job on being a great dad!! Just don't fight dirty with her.. continue to be the bigger man and you will continue to be the better role model for your children....
I was with a boyfriend of mine for a little over a year and it was pretty rough at the beginning. He really never asked me any questions or seemed to keen on getting to know me at first. I thought maybe he just did not know how or was maybe nervou...
