Hhhmmm - I can't think of any DMB songs with girl's names...of course, I'm listening to the instruments mostly. What's her middle name & what song(s) is it in?
The irony is thick with your terror of heights and the potential of jumping out of a plane coupled with the love of flying...let alone aerobatics!!!
I have the Gorge CD's as well - highly recommend checking out a concert there. I have a ton of DMB's other live stuff too & was at the Golden Gate concert (great show and CD). Were you there for his concert in Central Park? I like that DVD as well....ok, I haven't heard a show that I didn't like!
That does it. I'm gonna try to organize a GH/RB meetup. There's too much latent fun being ignored there, plus older kids would love it too. We could have non-Rocking parents play with the younger kids while those of us with Metal in our veins are shredding the fretboard.
Problem is, my GH controller has a non-functional whammy-bar, which sucks for those who play on Expert. Also, my roommate's Rock Band guitar controller has a similarly-funky whammy-bar, not to mention a shattered drum footpedal. Hopefully we'll get the footpedal fixed soon, but I dunno about the whammy-bar. I guess for NoobRockers it's not a big deal at all, but I *hate* playing on a defunct guitar. *shudder*
I don't have GH3, so I haven't played "Through the Fire and Flames" yet. :(
I've also watched in amazement as undersocialized geeks whip out Jordan on Expert. Blows my mind. They're all total basement dwellers whose Mad Skillz I can only envy from afar.
Through brutally repetitive Slowest training I've gotten to where I can make it through Jordan up to the point where it takes off into totally ridiculous speed-lick madness. At that point I invariably snort in disgust and wish I could afford to hurl my guitar controller into my TV set to show my utter contempt for people who play stuff that fast.
Then I go back to Practice mode with my proverbial tail between my legs, my masculenity eviscerated, and my ego shattered like so many knife-edged shards of mom's favorite crystal decanter after the Infamous Baseball Incident of '92.
Hi Eleni,
I worked for Hollywood Entertainment's corporate office in the Games department when Guitar Hero (the first one) came out. By the time it was released I'd mastered the pre-release version and I could beat it on Expert (although Cowboys From Hell still gives me problems... that song is *way* hard.) I loved that game more than anything for quite a while. I still love it, but I don't play it nearly as obsessively as I did when I first got it.
I've beat Guitar Hero 2 on Expert (all songs except Jordan, which is wicked-hard) and Guitar Hero 80s on Expert (all songs except Play With Me which has been my favorite song since I first heard it a few months ago.) I also play Rock Band, which is really fun with other people even though I don't like the controller as well as the GH controller.
Enough people like these games that we should have a Rock Out get-together sometime and play GH & Rock Band. They're both fun to watch as well as to play, and they both support a range of skills at the same time.
Great new pictures - love the princess haircut one...too cute. As far as the flying pictures - it doesn't look like you are in a large plane nor wearing a parachute. In other words - CRAZY!!!
The Shore's great. We went there about 4 years ago (don't remember specific town),
We moved all around as a kid - Arizona, Texas (3 places), Chicago, North Carolina (2 places) and Utah! What a ride. Portland's my home now (and my parents) and we're not going anywhere - this is a great town!
Flying, jigsaw puzzles, travel, reading, and many more.
What type of music do you like?
So many types! Dave, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Johnny Cash, Katy Perry, Adele, Regina Spektor, Shane Gooding. Too many too list, but they are probably the most listened to.
