With a section dedicated to children and families that would be perfect! At his age, attention span even with something a cool as an Austin music festival is likely to be limited so that would be cool if there's kids of similar age there to keep him…
I've always taken Alexa to grown up events such as this. She's gone to SXSW many times as well as Eeyore's birthday and the ROT rally (before they banned the kiddos). He'll have a blast, just make sure to shield him from the more mature festivities…

HELP! Am I crazy for taking him....
Okay so I got a free 3day pass to the Austin City Limits festival from work. For those of you not familiar with this festival its a huge 3 day festival out at Zilker park with 100's of bands. Kids 10 and under get in free and they even have a whole section dedicated for children. So while it is huge music festival its still "Family friendly". The Little Things.....
As we arrived home from my brother in laws birthday party tonight my WAY over exhausted son was barely making it up the three flights of stairs as I had awoken him from his slumber in the car.
With much encouragement he made it through the door. As we proceeded to do a quick wipe down because he was way too tired for a bath I realized the "little fall" my brother in law said he took left some nice scrapes and bumps. No biggie but in his state of exhaustion it was the end of the world.

Tick Tock Tick Tock
So this mama is going on her very first ever solo vacation......
Its not that I have had many vacations in life I can count them all on one hand but those have always been with family or with my ex husband.
I have been away from my son not often but a few times. A few business trips here and their and as of late just the overnight night out situations.

So I have decided to come out of hiding.....
I have safely stored myself away in a cozy convenient bubble where I didn't actually have to be out their just appear out their. By their I mean in the world. I went with the motions and played along.
Its time Angela and Cade start actually living a life.
I woke up and realized WOW he is going to be 5. Seriously, FIVE!! How do I have a five year old and then I realized wow how much of that I feel like I have missed. How little he has been able to e… Continue

A PAY CUT! AM I CRAZY?!?!?!?
So boy have things been nuts lately. I work for a non profit and have for the last 7 years. The board of directors came in back in October and up and fired the Executive Director whom I am very close with. I have been his assistant for 7 years and he is an amazing mentor to me. We tease about our father daughter relationship. I was already feeling bored and anxious before all of this happened but now straight up fear and misery were added to that mix. - Hi Angela, you had made the comment about lack of adult male in your little guy's life, One really great option you may want to look into is big brother, big sister.
My son is enrolled in boy's and girl's club which is awesome in way's i can't describe,and they have links to big brother as my son has has a big sis which has helped alot due to the fact he really doesn't have alot of older female interaction which has helped with to much testoterone, ie armpit farts and race car noises, so i hope the info help's
