I belong to the Center of Religious Science, but even I like candles, usually with a nice warm bath, great for meditating.

Don I grew up Southern Baptist, married and converted to Methodism, and now am back to Baptist. (I was offered a scholarship from the Baptist General Convention, hence going back.) But I am with you. Cathedrals are beautiful and peaceful. I love to light a prayer candle. They are always on my lists while on vacation!

Does anybody else like to sit in Catholic Churches and just be still for awhile or am I just weird :-) They are so much more inviting than the Methodist ones I grew up in. I like Catholic Chapels like some people like dive bars, ha!

Your friend is in my prayers. I will also pray for God to soften his stbx's heart. Most of all, I will pray that God will wrap the children in love, peace and give them a sense of security during this difficult transition.

Please pray for single Dad of 3 -- a warrior for our country, for his children's happiness, and a generally great friend. May he find peace in his life. May he find the strength to push through the toxic sludge that has sapped his strength and will. May he find a way to cope with his stbx that restores some of his love of life and joy in being. Thanks for praying with me. Peachy (And may we also pray for his stbx that she find constructive ways of parenting and co-parenting, and for peace in her life that she may move on to happier days as well)

I wanted to pop in and let everyone know I have been praying for them and to thank those that have done some praying for my. I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!
I will be a pharmacy tech... finally something a bit closer to my degree/field. This is my first real grown up job. Hehe...I have always been a server/bartender and now I have a real job with full benefits, vacation, sick pay, 401k and even get this, tuition assistance. They are going to help pay for my schooling. Just in time for Nursing School. My prayers have been more than answered. I just wanted to be able to pay the bills and now I can do that and then some. Plus, I will get to work with my mom and dad for a few hours out of the day. More time with my mom is great since she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and after her having her heart attack. Thank you so much everyone. 2010 is def. going to be a better year for me and my family.

Keep up the faith Raune. I pray that god give you and your son the strength to get through these hard times till it does get better. I also pray that you may have the faith to believe that it will get better and to be able to use this as a learning tool. I will keep you in my prayers.
