hi all! I am a newly single parents. I'm a lil bit confuse when some of my family ask me how I will explain to my child when she ask about her dad. I'm never married before, because my ex don't want marry me and he left me when i'm still pregnant. and i don't know where is he now. look I can't answer their question, my cousin want to take my baby and make it as their child. I really don't want that happen. So, somebody can help me? How I explain to my child when she ask me about her dad?

Hello all. I'm new to this site, but not to the single parent thing. It seems lately though, things are just a lot tougher. Still fighting over custody with my ex and trying to keep the kids safe from harm. Some days it seems so overwhelming. How does one survive being single with 3 young children?

Layo, I have those moments alot. I get so stressed out and my poor son just happens to be only one there and he gets to hear my pain. Then I feel bad because its not his fault.

i feel kind of worked up sometimes and want to take it out on my kid. and all that come to mind is how badly her dad behaved. WAT DO U THINK?

Okay Im have one of those days that I try to get everything I can done as soon as I can and still feel like nothing got done! WOW that even felt weird! lol

I have a lot of those days, Nostalchick!! I began to take it out on everyone around me and knew that I had so much anger that I couldn't deal with it. How did I get through? It's called Zoloft. hehehe...now I all smiles again, still angry, but dealing much better!!!!

Ok I'm having one of those, depressed to be a single parent days. It's no surprise, I started feeling this way after talking to ex. There's just so many feelings of anger, resentment and overall unforgiving. I sail along and am ok for so long and then crash, it's there.
Wondering how others have gotten over it. As a single parent, you have a constant reminder of your ex in your children and you LOVE your children. Although I can give myself tons of advice and be pretty damn good at it. I realize that I'm not getting it. So, I'm putting that proverbial message in the bottle out there :) Hello all my fellow, brave, single parents!

I adopted my daughter last year and she is four years old. I have been having her in my life since she was 16 months. As of lately she has been having a bunch of "Daddy" questions. I have very limited information on her biological father. Kinda at a loss for words when she has questions in regards to him. Any advice on what to tell a four year old who is longing for a father
