Making a Living Without a Job

Based on the book by Barbara J. Winter, this group will help you discover your passion and find ways of making it a reality, and also making a living through your passion!

Find the book here.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in a change, or feels they are not living their passion. This is a truly inspiring book by a talented author, who incidentally happens to also be a single mom, and now a single grandmother!

It has long been my dream to turn my hobbies into my jobless job....smile. I went to Barbara Winters' site and I am so thankful that I have found THIS site as an inspiration. Between my own self doubts and my ex telling me I couldn't do it, I haven't. I have started many times and never saw it through for lack of confidence in myself. I am very creative, something I just discovered a few years ago and I have a fantastic green thumb. My dream and goal is to own my own shop to sell my fresh and dried herbs and flowers in along with my jewelry and other crafts and those of other local artisans. I worry about the economy though and know that it will turn around eventually. Maybe by the time I am financially in a position to get my dream started. In the meantime I am creating the jewelry and trying to find a house with some land in order to grow my herbs and flowers.

This is just the right spot for me and I thank you for being here!
Hugs,
Susan

I don't know if I qualify to be in this group; I am jobless but there is nothing joyful about it right now. My little boy is due on 7/30 and I am not actively searching for employment because if I find something I won't be able to take maternity leave and still have an income. FMLA is meant for employees who have been with a company for at least a year in most cases and not someone who starts and then has a baby a month later.

Ok I'm a little cunfused. I live what I love, and absolutely love what I do. The work environment I've created for myself revolves around my precious daughter. Also my hours are minimal, but I still make enough to survive. I do for work what I do in my spare time for free. This might be considered "Joyfully Jobless".
Peace and love to all!

J-Fo, that's so cool...what do you do? Did you see that Barbara Winters is on our site? She is, I contacted her and we talked on the phone for a while, and she agreed to be an advisor for iHeart! I'd love to bring a group down for one of her seminars...in Vegas!

I LOVE this book and have read it several times. I recommend it for any single parent trying to figure out a way to both earn a living and spend time with your kid(s).

I'm not technically "joyfully jobless," but books like this inspired me to start my own company...this allows me to work on my own schedule and have a fair amount of flexibility to be a great mom!

Read this book!
