My son wants to live with me.....I need to find out if there is an age where he can say where he wants to live in Wa state with me.people that I talked to say 12, But I need documentation saying so and the courts website confuses me, He will be 12 in march and I think it would be a an great birthday present...so i want to get the ball rolling.....Please help

I think I need to get some sleep, but I can't sleep right now. I am just reaching out and saying hello and it would be nice if I could talk to some people whether online or by phone. I've been a PT dad basically since Dec and I am having a rough time with it right about now.

I think I really need an ear to talk to or a shoulder to cry on or a wall to yell at or something.

im still looking for single father help groups. other then this site i found fathers4kids.com. its monday now, tomarrow im going to call around looking for local social groups. i need to get out and talk to people. being coupt up is driving me nuts. plus i need to find out how other single dads got there kids. any of u guys have your kids full time or split custody? if so what hoops did u have to jump to get what u got. any info would help.

Hi simon,

I thought your website was wonderful and so professional looking. I think it is a great idea for Dads to get together and show their interest in being with thier children. Fathers who leave their families and never help or visit their kids give a very bad name to the greater number of fathers who really want to be fully involved in their childrens lives..

We need to find a solution that is fair to mothers and fathers and that is flexible to cope with all the variations of parents who want or dont want to be involved in their childrens lives, and to cope with parents who should not be allowed anywhere near children be they mothers or fathers..

But of course the most important little people are the children, and all they want is a parent or parents who love them.

I look forward to learning a lot more about your group and us all working together to give our children a great childhood.
