Hello everyone. I am new to this site and I am reaching out looking to find some friends and really single parents. I just got divorced and I have a 5 month old on November 1st. I am blessed to have a very supportive family but sometimes, you just need someone else to talk to. I would appreciate anyone. Thanks and have a great day. I have never reached out before, but I have to reach out to be able to grab the hand reaching back!! My son is my world!

H2O Africa Foundation is a great organization with several projects going on throughout Africa developing wells in areas to support thousands. I got clued into the group recently through watching that documentary "Running the Sahara". Amazing story!

HI, I just wanted the giving back group to know that I survive on the Americorps living stipend, and while being a single parent. I get to work for an environmental not-profit orgnization, and I love it! If you would like to know more let me know!

For those who seek to volunteer, I suggest http://www.blanchethouse.org/volunteer.htm

The boys and I used to go to the Blanchet House once a week or so and serve meals. After the homeless are all served (takes about 1.5 hours) all the volunteers sit and eat. It's great food; way better than I would have access to on my own budget. They have meat and everything! It's awesome. And it's excellent service, especially for the kids.

The boys frequently ask in their prayers, "Bless that we can go serve meals to the homeless." I'm planning on doing that on Saturday for the lunch slot, if they're not already stocked up with volunteers.

They serve 3 meals a day (only 1 or 2 on Sundays) and they almost always need additional help, so this is a superb service opportunity.

Can people direct me to volunteer opportunities even if you can't personally do it. however, if you can even better. I'm more interested and better suited for labor.

Hello all,
Autism Speaks is a non-profit organization for Autism Research.
Every year in April we take part in the Walk @ the Rosebowl and have TeamQ available to donate to. It's a great cause for parents and I appreciate this forum! THANK YOU <3

I am part of a foundation for single parents and I'd love some input on what kinds of services would be helpful to everyone. I am already working on college scholarships, camp scholarships, afterschool programs, and small business grants for single parents and theri children. Any other ideas? Thanks!
