Front or back? Really? Both are embarrassing, both make noise, both are natural but that doesn't make it acceptable.

And if we can't do it in front of our guy, any chance the guy won't do it in front of the girl? Doubtful! They will laugh and think they are 7 years old again..........whatever!

OK, I have to give my opinion, I personally think it depends on the... ummmm.... fart.

If it's going to be a really nassssssssty stinky one - don't do it! Go in the bathroom. The only caveat here is if HE will too. We all know that men are stinkier than women, and that they don't really give a rat's ass whether we are trying not to choke on the smell or at least hold our breath.

If it's just a regular ol' poot ('cause we know that girls don't fart -- we poot), let-er-rip! I've never had a man freak out or push me away for letting out a little one now and then.

Scotsbloke... can you expand on the front bottom vs back bottom? Not sure if this is some sort of back-ass-words European way of describing a queef?

Wow i was stuned to read this ? lol but you asked for it lol. being i am the oldest of 10 kids and 7 of them are boys farting was a common thing lol So like say with my past marriage yea sometimes a fart happens and well i say sorry and stuff but hey it happens. But i recall once when she farted i was like omg you just didnt fart. She was like whats the problem. She was like it is ok for you but not me. The truth be told in my eyes yea thats is right. It is ok for a guy to but no no to the ladies. I mean that si no not lady like lol I would tease her alot saying if you going to fart you better get your but in that bathroom lol Just so odd to hear a women fart. Now about bottom farts that i had a story for which i wont tell here lol And that one i say 100 percent hell no to. JMO

Call me practical, but if you have to fart, you have to fart. Just as everyone poops, everyone gets gas. It hurts trying to keep it in.I also have a boy and brothers. Farting was the norm. I try not to horrify a guy with a fart for awhile, but I do fart. Deal with it. Just my two cents.

I guess it is safe to say that if I guy has a problem with me farting in the comfort of my own space, then we aren't going to work. I know how to be a lady when out and in other people's space, but in my home and my space, I can do what I want. Plus my little dude thinks its silly. Lots of bathroom jokes and humor at his age. He attaches the word poop and fart on to everything he can.

Not to drag this out any farther..........but...........

Everyone has commented on the sound effects that flatulence produces, and the comfort level that we each have. However they also have smell and no matter how polite you pipe one out, you can't change the odor! I don't have a problem with being "on the couch watching Idol and letting one rip!!" but what about the smell? Laying in bed and politely "squeeking one out" is great and all and might gather a giggle, but it could also be an SBD and then the mood is ruined.

Overall, I think we gals would rather do it in private and hope you don't hear it. And for the guys, when we do fart, it doesn't mean that we are challenging you to a competition!!!
