So, it's no secret that I adore tattoos. I would have MANY more, if I had money to pay for them and time to actually think about what I would like to have done. My pieces all have significant meaning to me.
Here is what I'm asking:
1. Do you have any tattoos?
2. Where? Of what?
3. Is there meaning?
4. What do you tell your children about them?

I do I do! I have a seahorse on my back (no meaning whatsoever, it was the I'm-18-and-want-a-tattoo phase) and I have a phoenix on my left ankle. The phoenix does have meaning; I lived in Phoenix AZ for 5 years and it really shaped who I am and what I stand for... and after my separation I wanted something that identified to me that I was strong and would survive... the whole rising from the ashes story.
Ethan saw my ankle and I just told him it was a picture on my ankle and he didn't ask anything else. I don't know what he will say or ask when he's older but we'll cross that bridge when it appears.
And I have plans for others but money is the big obstacle. Nothing big though, just small stuff.
1. Yes, five.
2. -Daughter's name in an armband on left arm
-Marilyn Monroe on right arm
-memorial (wings surrounding name) on right shoulder
-mirror angel wings on right and left ankles
3. -Alexa: my daughter is the true love of my life
-Marilyn Monroe grew up much like I did and had many loves of her life.....died alone.... in many ways, I connect with the fact that she was greatly misunderstood and highly underappreciated..... AND she is the most beautiful woman that has ever lived, me thinks ;)
-Memorial: My friend, DeLois that died from cancer. I miss her terribly.
-The wings: My personality. When things get tough, I "fly" away. I return after I've chilled and had time to think.
4. I tell my daughter that they are art and she knows the meaning behind all of them. I've also told her that she can not have one until she makes her own money, is responsible and of age. When she gets older, she knows that she gets to help me create a design/sketch to add pizazz and color to the armband with her name.
2. Where? Of what?
I have a pink flower on the small of my back. Got it done before the "tramp stamp" became super popular.
I also have a purple and pink heart off to the side of the top of my right foot.
3. Is there meaning?
Yes, my sister and I had our tattoo's done together at the same time. She has a purple flower identicle to my pink one. Growing up our mom always dressed us the same, but her in blue or purple and I in red or pink. She's my best friend, and other than my son, the most important person in my world.
The heart doesn't have a lot of meaning. I was on a girls trip to SunRiver, and we all ended up getting tattoo's. It was a great weekend, and kind of a cool connection to have with my friends. It hurt like hell, but I am so glad I did it. I'm really proud of myself. It honestly hurt worse than delivering my son with no drugs. I swear!
4. What do you tell your children about them?
Christian's dad has tats as well. He doesn't really think much of them, and has been with his dad when he had work done. The needles scare the crap out of him, so I don't think we have to worry about him wanting one anytime soon!
1. Do you have any tattoos?Yes two of them
2. Where? Of what? ONe is in my bikini line on my hip/ half moon and I got it when I was 18. Second is on the small of my back- has my leo insignia on it with a great design around it. That one I passed out during since it was so large. I turned white and fell to the floor. The artist luckily was a paramedic too..strange but true. Got it when I was 21. That one is a great story. I wil never forget those 24 hours.I would get more if I had a reason to.
3. Is there meaning?Nothing other than going with my best girlfriends and having a blast while doing it.
4. What do you tell your children about them? Uh ya, she sees them all the time. She just thinks mine have a hard time washing off. Hers always wash off..lol
Not divorce yet. But i did get to meet two little angels. One is a dear lady who is in the same boat as me. But she has more money that I do. She referred me to a great lawyer. Win or lose I am happy. I have given the toad one last 48 hr time to w...
I agree 100% with you. I find it really hard to forgive my son's father for everything he has ever done to him. He never apologized. I want to forgive him and when I look at him I try to act like everything's fine (for the sake of my son) but I ca...
I read somewhere that you dont forgive for them, you want to get to that point where you forgive for yourself...
